A guy in Washington Park had this under a cover on his front lawn a while ago, but the other day the cover was off so I snapped this shot. Not pictured is the driveway with a Volvo 122 wagon and some older Saabs.

It’s apparently an interesting neighborhood over there, since a guy right around the corner has a pair of Volvo 240s as well.

Providence is a decent city for car spotting sometimes. There’s a pair of R32 Skylines, a guy with a bunch of Ferraris, a stanced purple Porsche 911. The colleges bring in a lot of foreign students with a lot of money, so there’s always neat stuff near JWU and Brown.

I really ought to take more pictures, the only other Providence car I have a picture of is this:

It’s pretty clean, but not as clean as it looks in the picture.

There is a really cool shop in Woonsocket across the street from Jays deli that has 2 DS’s and a bunch of classic Marcs and Porsches. Cool place.

I’ll have to take a ride, as much as I like staying out of Woonsocket I’ve heard Jay’s is great, so that’s worth a trip. There a pair of German specialists in Providence, Banchwerks and German Motors, that always have good stuff sitting around too.

Every time I go on the highway, I see something interesting over there in the city. On the way to a track meet, I might see some weird crap. Providence is one strange place.

Lol. I accidentally bought a house there before I knew anything about the town. Moved home to MN after 3 years but I still kind of have a soft spot for that trashy town. Its not as bad as its reputation but there is truth there too.

Jays is great if you like a ton of meat and cheese and no veggies. I recommend The Portfolio sandwich. Its either corned beef or pastrami with bacon blue cheese hot sauce and cheese. Awesome sandwich.

Jesus. That sounds like a hell of a sandwich.

There’s a place in Warwick called Mousie’s and they have a sandwich called the Chico. Corned beef, pastrami, liverwurst, muenster, gouda, Russian dressing on an onion roll, steamed so it’s all hot and melty. Great sandwich.

I love Mousies too! I used to work at PVD airport. We would do a group order there about once a month. God I miss the food out there.
